Located at the beginning of the Doha Corniche, the Qatar National Museum will offer its 40 000 square meters in the neighbourhood of the historic palace belonging to the Al Thani family. Requesting the expertise of the Ateliers Jean Nouvel for designing the new museum, Qatar Museum Authority wants to replace the site of the old museum in the heart of an ambitious program of cultural development.
